Stainless steel has long held the top spot, as far as preference for appliances go, for both homeowners and kitchen designers alike. Now, there is a new trend on the market that may be giving stainless steel a run for its money. The first-ever black stainless steel option is being offered by companies like KitchenAid, LG, and Samsung as a “less industrial” and smudge resistant alternative to traditional stainless steel. Black stainless steel is also making a buzz on Houzz. In a recent Houzz poll, “nearly two-thirds of Houzzers say they would consider the dark alternative to shiny silver metal.”
