Bedroom and Media Wall Interior Remodel in Danville, CA

Client Need

With a baby on the way, these Danville homeowners needed to add an extra bedroom to accommodate their growing family. They also aimed to improve their family room, focusing on enhanced functionality and additional storage solutions.

The client was also understandably concerned about the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in paint. To address this, we selected Benjamin Moore’s Eco Spec line, a zero-VOC option, ensuring a healthier choice for all the rooms.

Solution

The remodel began by transforming the existing playroom into a functional new bedroom. In the family room, we removed the outdated fireplace and replaced it with a sleek media wall featuring built-in drawers, shelves, and full-height storage for larger items, enhancing both functionality and style. To brighten the space, we replaced two separate patio doors with a single large patio door, creating a seamless connection to the outdoors. To tie the design together, we installed stunning Allora 9-½” European Oak Character Select hardwood floors throughout, adding warmth and cohesion to the home.
