At-Home Chef Kitchen Addition in San Ramon, CA

Client Need

Transforming the culinary experience for a passionate food blogger, this San Ramon project focused on expanding and relocating the kitchen for enhanced functionality. This was achieved by adding a 200 square foot addition to the back of the home, which allowed us to create a desired new guest bedroom and en suite bathroom in the old kitchen space. As part of the project, the clients also desired enhancements to their main floor powder room.

Solution

Collaborating with our skilled designer, our design-build team expertly reimagined the kitchen, relocating it to the back of the home and transforming it into a spacious culinary haven.

The former kitchen space was repurposed into a cozy guest bedroom, with an en suite bathroom. Throughout the entire space, new hardwood flooring was seamlessly integrated, imparting warmth and continuity to this remarkable kitchen addition. New stair railings and the central powder room also received a stylish update.

The design elements include warm white perimeter cabinets, elegantly paired with a clear stain walnut island and coordinating shelves. The porcelain slab countertops were carefully chosen to emulate the luxurious appearance of marble without the high maintenance, catering perfectly to the needs of the vibrant young family. Infused with timeless elegance, brass plumbing fixtures, cabinet hardware, and lighting fixtures exude warmth and sophistication. Elevating the culinary experience, the clients opted for high-end Wolf appliances, featuring a range and speed oven, complemented by the sleek sophistication of a Miele dishwasher.

Result

The result is a harmonious blend of functionality, style, and warmth in this rejuvenated kitchen, supporting the culinary creativity of The House of Nash Eats. This family also gained a valuable guest bedroom suite and are enjoying a stylish powder bathroom makeover.
